Statements On June 2026 Supreme Court Rulings 

This is a collection of statements put out in June 2026 by Jewish Social Justice Roundtable affiliates. This list will be updated frequently as new statements become public.

Immigration 

American Jewish World Service says, “The [TPS] program’s termination risks lives…”

Bend The Arc states, “Congress has the power to act — and it must do so immediately.” 

Carolina Jews for Justice says, “Uprooting them is not turning away strangers — it is expelling our neighbors.”

HIAS says, “While the Court has ruled, the moral and humanitarian imperative remains unchanged.”

Jewish Council of Public Affairs states, “These decisions are devastating for anyone who believes in basic dignity and humanity…”. 

The Workers Circle states, “This decision today is a sickening reversal of all we stand for as a nation.”

Birthright Citizenship

Bend The Arc says, “We will keep fighting to make this a country where all of us, no matter who we are, how or whether we pray, or where we were born.”

HIAS says, “The Court’s ruling … preserves a principle that has defined American citizenship for more than a century.” 

Jewish Council of Public Affairs states, “This should have never been a question, but we welcome this decision.”

National Council of Jewish Women says, "Today, the Court affirmed what we have always known to be true, upholding a core tenet of our democracy.”

The Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism states, “Today's ruling upholds the principle that core constitutional rights cannot be erased by executive action alone.”

T’ruah says, “The Jewish community has a long history of standing up for immigrants, and we will not waver.”

Trans Youth 

Jewish Community Action says, “We are all worthy of dignity and respect”. 

Jewish Council of Public Affairs states, “The Court effectively said that equality for one group can come at the expense of another; we reject that premise.” 

Keshet states, “Today, the U.S. Supreme Court failed in its duty to protect the rights of Americans.” 

National Council of Jewish Women says, “To every transgender young person today: you belong.”

Women of Reform Judaism states, “WRJ will continue to fight so that everyone can feel safe and supported on a team and as their truest self.”
